Very important is a home loss of third rankedSanteros (10-10) against sixth ranked Cangrejeros (9-12) on Saturday night. Host Santeros were defeated by Cangrejeros in Aguada 108-93 . Santurce made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American forward Davon Jefferson (203-1986, college: USC) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international forward Angel Matias (194-1992, college: Georgia South) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Dominican Rigoberto Mendoza (191-1992) responded with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and British-American Noah Horchler (204-1998, college: Providence) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Five Santurce and four Aguada players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cangrejeros have a solid series of three victories in a row. Santurce moved-up to fifth place. Aguada at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Guaynabo.
